Job Description

It is expected that the Pastor will be a devoted and joyful disciple of Jesus Christ, abiding in Christ, devoted to prayer and the Word of God. Must be a good fit with existing Elders/Deacons and other leaders. Must be a team player working together to make disciples of all nations. Pastor must agree with and support our church Statement of Faith and Church Distinctives. The Pastor is responsible for living and proclaiming the Gospel of Christ and encouraging the local church body to do so, for guiding the spiritual development of the congregation, and for providing pastoral care in meeting the needs of persons in the church and community. The Pastor shall be responsible to the Board of Elders and will serve as an Elder himself. The Pastor will perform duties as directed by the Elders as a group, including responsibility to arrange for and conduct public and regular services of the church. Preaching/Teaching Will faithfully study the scriptures and be prepared to preach the Word of God through expository and topical messages as the Lord may lead him. Will develop a preaching calendar for all services. This would include but not be limited to Sunday mornings, and other scheduled services. For Example, a Good Friday Service. He will work closely with the Worship leaders as they plan and prepare for each Sunday morning service and all special services throughout the year. Fellowship/Discipleship/Evangelism Will lead the church in fellowship and hospitality so to create a close church family, encouraging each person to grow in their faith. Will participate in our church outreach and evangelism program. Will assist the church in growing and equipping the saints. Will be given other assignments based upon the spiritual gifts of the candidate. Additional Information This is a part-time position with semi-flexible hours. Our Sunday morning attendance is 60-90. We are a nondenominational protestant evangelical church.
Pay:
$20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
