Job Summary
St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church is seeking a faith-filled, energetic, and relational leader to serve as our Coordinator of Youth Ministry. This position focuses on accompanying and evangelizing high school students, helping them grow into lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ within the Catholic Church. This role will lead and grow the parish high school youth ministry program while also assisting in Confirmation preparation for parish youth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing the Catholic faith, building authentic relationships, and creating opportunities for teens to encounter Christ through prayer, community, service, formation, and the sacramental life of the Church. St. Clement of Rome is open to filling this role as either a full-time or part-time position, depending on the gifts, experience, and availability of the candidate.
Job Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the parish high school youth ministry program
Plan and facilitate weekly youth ministry gatherings and events
Foster authentic relationships with teens and families through consistent presence and engagement
Create opportunities for prayer, discipleship, retreats, service, fellowship, and faith formation
Recruit, train, support, and collaborate with volunteers and core team members
Encourage teens toward a deeper sacramental life and active participation in the Church
Coordinate retreats, conferences, social outings, and service opportunities, including participation in the Steubenville STL Mid-America Conference, Luke 18 retreat, and other regional events
Assist with Confirmation preparation for parish youth
Build relationships with 8th grade students transitioning into high school youth ministry
Maintain a visible and active presence within parish life, including school events, youth activities, parish functions, and PSR engagement
Communicate regularly with youth and families through email, social media, and parish communication platforms
Maintain strong collaboration with parish staff and the Archdiocese of St. Louis Office of Youth Ministry
Ensure all activities comply with Archdiocesan safe environment and youth protection policies Job Qualifications Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church
Strong knowledge of and fidelity to Catholic teachings and traditions
Demonstrated passion for evangelization and youth ministry
Experience in youth ministry, education, ministry leadership, or a related field preferred
Ability to build strong, authentic relationships with teens, parents, and volunteers
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Comfortable using technology, social media, and communication tools to engage youth and families
Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple ministry activities and events
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Must complete all Archdiocesan requirements, including background check and safe environment training Desired Qualities Joyful, approachable, and engaging
