Job Description

This is a guaranteed year of employment starting from the hire date. Evaluation will occur after one year of employment to determine if the church can support the continued position.
Primary Role:
The Worship Ministry Assistant will be an assistant to the Lead Pastor for the worship ministry's planning, coordination, scheduling, and implementation of worship gatherings. This position is to aid in the development and implementation of worship gatherings that are Christ-centered, well-executed, and well-planned.
Job Description:
Part-time support for administrative, coordination, and assistance functions of the weekly worship gatherings at Mid-Cities Church. Attendance expectations for Sunday Worship Gatherings and pre-gathering rehearsals, with Special Services as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Worship Planning & Leadership
  • Assist the Lead Pastor in weekly worship planning
  • Assist in developing the order of service and Planning Center workfl ows
  • Disseminate service information to worship and teach team volunteers
  • Maintain consistent musical and spiritual growth as a worship leader and believer Volunteer & Team Administration
  • Schedule worship and tech team volunteers via Planning Center
  • Communicate rehearsal times, service needs, and updates to volunteers
  • Aid in keeping the worship and tech teams organized and up-to-date with availabilities
  • Assist the Lead Pastor with identifying worship-related equipment or supply needs Rehearsal & Sunday Support
  • Assist in conducting pre-gathering worship rehearsals
  • Support the Lead Pastor in execution of Sunday worship gatherings
  • Assist with general logistical tasks for worship (set up music, print service order, etc.) Team Care & Encouragement
  • Encourage and exhort worship and tech team volunteers via communication and presence
  • Support a healthy, Christ-Centered team culture
  • Coordinate with the tech team lead regarding Sunday worship needs
Position Requirements:
  • Follower of Jesus Christ, servant-hearted, humble, and teachable, with a love for worship, music, and unity in the body of Christ
  • Acceptance and adherence to the Church's statement of faith and covenant
  • Desire to foster congregational worship as opposed to a performance-based approach to worship
  • Proficiency singing and playing a musical instrument (piano or guitar preferred)
  • Highly organized and administrative in nature
  • Able to work eff ectively and cooperatively with a team
  • Some experience or working knowledge of Planning Center and Google Suite is preferred
Compensation:
$12,000 annually
