Job Description

Pastor of Administration & Discipleship Mount Vernon Baptist Church — Boone, NC Mount Vernon Baptist Church is seeking a full‑time Pastor of Administration & Discipleship to help our church live out its mission of being rooted in Christ, growing together, and sent with the gospel. This role blends strong administrative leadership with a shepherd's heart for discipleship and spiritual formation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead church administration, communication, scheduling, and office systemsSupport staff/volunteers with simple, sustainable structuresShape and oversee a clear discipleship pathwayEquip and mentor Life Group/small group leadersGuide membership processes and spiritual formation practicesCoordinate ministries, volunteers, and church‑wide events
Preferred Qualifications:
MA, MRE, or similar theological degreeExperience in pastoral ministry, discipleship, or church administrationStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsWarm, relational, Christ‑centered presence
