Children Ministry Leader

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children Ministry Leader to inspire and nurture the spiritual growth of children within our community. This dynamic role involves creating engaging, age-appropriate programs that foster a loving environment rooted in Christian values. As a Children Ministry Leader, you will serve as a mentor, teacher, and spiritual guide, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to develop their faith. Your leadership will help shape the next generation by combining creative teaching methods with compassionate care. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging weekly children's ministry programs that align with biblical teachings and church values Lead and supervise volunteers and team members to ensure smooth execution of activities and safety protocols Foster a welcoming environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore their faith Develop age-appropriate curriculum that incorporates storytelling, music, arts, and interactive activities Provide Christian counseling and mentorship to children facing personal or emotional challenges Coordinate special events such as holiday celebrations, outreach programs, and community service projects Collaborate with parents, church staff, and community partners to support children's spiritual development and well-being Offer guidance on social work aspects related to children's needs, including bereavement support or emotional support when necessary Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational, religious, or social service settings Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and team members effectively Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and church staff clearly and compassionately Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and ability to provide mentorship in faith-based contexts Experience in event planning for children's activities or church functions Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism Background in social work or related fields is a plus; familiarity with hospice care or bereavement support is beneficial Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes spiritual growth and community engagement Join us in making a meaningful impact on young lives by guiding them through their faith journey.
