While most church members are age 55+, we have a growing number of members and visitors who are in their 20's-50's. We are part of the Southern Baptist Convention and hold to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as a statement of faith. We support 13 missions, conduct a weekly service at a local assisted living facility, and hold a weekly men's discipleship group.
In recent years, our church has undergone a stabilizing and growing period. We have grown in both our numbers of regular attendees and members, as well as in our vision to see the lost reached for Christ. We are seeking our next lead pastor who will help us engage young families, spiritually disciple our congregation, and provide exegetical preaching from God's Word. Our vision is to reach the City of Amsterdam and adjoining communities with the gospel and to see people be saved and discipled in God's truth. We desire a man who will unashamedly preach the gospel. Our church is praying for a man who will lead our membership into a congregation that disciples, encourages, and equips Christians to enter the lost world with an evangelistic mindset. As a Lead Pastor, you will
