Leading families to discover life in Jesus.
Position Overview:
The Executive Pastor serves as the primary ministry leadership partner to the Lead Pastor by providing direction, alignment, and oversight for all ministry teams at Silver Creek Church. This role is responsible for helping translate the church's vision into actionable strategies, ensuring that ministry leaders are equipped, supported, and aligned to accomplish the mission of leading families to discover life in Jesus.
Qualifications:
  • A life of integrity, rooted in personal Gospel transformation.
  • A growing disciple with a consistent devotional life and commitment to spiritual leadership.
  • Strong alignment with Silver Creek Church's mission, vision, values, and doctrine.
  • At least ten or more years of ministry experience.
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and caring for ministry leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred Master's degree, or equivalent ministry leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead strategically while maintaining strong relational connections.
  • Motivated, self-directed, God-reliant, and enthusiastic approach to ministry leadership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams, develop leaders, and create healthy ministry environments.
Relational Leadership:
  • Build and maintain a healthy, unified ministry staff culture centered on Jesus and the mission of Silver Creek Church.
  • Provide coaching, encouragement, accountability, and leadership development for ministry directors and pastors.
  • Develop strong relationships with staff, key volunteers, and ministry leaders.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between ministry areas, helping teams work together toward shared goals.
  • Identify, develop, and empower emerging leaders throughout the church.
  • Partner with the Lead Pastor to care for and strengthen the overall health of the staff team.
Strategic Leadership:
  • Partner with the Lead Pastor to implement the church's vision, goals, and strategic priorities.
  • Translate vision into clear ministry strategies, goals, and action plans.
  • Provide oversight and direction to ministry departments, ensuring alignment with SCC's mission and values.
  • Lead ministry planning processes and help establish measurable objectives for ministry effectiveness.
  • Evaluate ministry health, identify opportunities for growth, and help leaders develop solutions.
  • Assist in preparing the church for continued growth by developing sustainable ministry structures and leadership pipelines.
Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee ministry staff execution and ensure ministries are effectively carrying out their responsibilities.
  • Be an active part of the pastoral team with occasional preaching and pastoral care.
  • Lead regular ministry staff meetings focused on communication, alignment, accountability, and growth.
  • Assist ministry leaders in developing systems, processes, and structures that support healthy ministry growth.
  • Ensure ministry calendars, events, and initiatives are aligned and coordinated across departments.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to ensure ministry priorities and operational needs remain connected.
  • Identify problems or challenges as they arise and lead teams toward effective solutions.
General Expectations:
  • Alignment with Silver Creek Church's doctrine, values, and authority structure.
  • Active participation in weekend worship services at Silver Creek Church.
  • Build and maintain a network of accountability to support personal and spiritual growth.

$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
