At the Dalton location, the Community Life Pastor is responsible for the overall direction and operation of programming and volunteer teams within specific areas of ministry. The CLP develops and coaches members of the campus staff as well as key volunteers to succeed in a variety of ministries, and works closely with Campus Pastor and central leadership to ensure the campus is operating in a manner consistent with the vision and mission of Living Water. JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The primary role of this position is to oversee and develop effective Adult Discipleship, Connection, and Care at the Dalton Campus. The position reports to the Campus Pastor.
The expectation is to:
BE A SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE CAMPUS
Continually develop and deepen your own walk with God Preach 6 to 10 times a year at the Dalton Campus Officiate weddings and funerals if needed
CONNECT PEOPLE WHO ATTEND CHURCH INTO MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY AND DISCIPLESHIP
Communicate, network, and share the vision for people to take the next step of discipleship Encourage LW Owners to grow, serve, and give Assist with assimilation strategies and pathways for adults Engage in personal conversations to encourage people towards their next discipleship milestone (I see in you ..) Be available for conversations with others about faith, life issues, testimony prep, etc.
OFFER LEADERSHIP AND GROWTH THROUGH ADULT DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES
Facilitate class experiences Establish a key leader(s) to provide class experiences. In conjunction with the key leader: Schedule classes, teachers, curriculum, and follow up as needed Recruit and train teachers - implement the apprentice system Facilitate Growth Group community Implement the system to invite people into Growth Groups Recruit, train, and empower adult Growth Group leaders Network and build relationships to encourage group involvement Manage Right Now media and other discipleship tools Men, Women, Couples, Seniors and Young Adult ministry Establish key leader(s) to facilitate ministry to these affinity clusters. In conjunction with the key leader: Determine the type of event and purpose needed to challenge and inspire these clusters in their walk with God. Establish a healthy rhythm to gather them together Cast the vision and communicate the events to ensure solid participation and desired impact Serve the team by providing needed logistics and communication with the LW staff
PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND OVERSIGHT FOR HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR
Operate as the Direct Report for Hospitality Coordinator Convene one-to-one meetings twice a month Assist them in the training and support needed for connection roles
GIVE LEADERSHIP AND DIRECTION TO CARE MINISTRIES
Work with key leader(s) to ensure care needs are met in conjunction with the key leader: Continue to improve system of identifying, tracking, and responding to care needs in a timely manner
WORK TOGETHER WITH STAFF
Communication:
utilize request forms, protocols, and quick conversations to maintain an informed workplace - overcommunicate what is happening Address and work through confusion, disagreement, and frustration with necessary individuals Celebrate and support what God is doing through other Living Water ministries Attend one-to-one meeting with the Campus Pastor twice a month & All Staff meetings once a month
