Job Description The Missioner for Redevelopment & Priest-in-Charge supports faith communities across the Diocese of Ohio in implementing sustainable models of ministry, while also serving as Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Good Shepherd in Lyndhurst. This role fosters a culture of discernment, collaboration, and innovation to support congregational vitality.
Essential Functions:
Missioner for Redevelopment (50%): Operationalize discernment and redevelopment processes; supervise and support Faith Community Facilitators; track congregational progress and connect them with diocesan resources; cultivate cohorts engaged in adaptive change; collaborate with staff to advance congregational vitality. Priest-in-Charge (50%): Provide sacramental, pastoral, and liturgical leadership; partner with the vestry to clarify mission and long-term sustainability; guide the parish through renewal and adaptive change; develop lay leadership; foster hospitality, discipleship, and local community partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ordained priest in The Episcopal Church or a church in full communion. Experience in congregational leadership, redevelopment, community engagement, and adaptive change leadership. Experience guiding groups through discernment, strategic planning, or organizational development. College for Congregational Development or related coaching/facilitation training preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to travel independently throughout the Diocese. Type of Commitment Full Time Does this job pay? Yes
