Head Pastor

Job Summary We are seeking an inspiring and compassionate Head Pastor to lead our faith community with energy, dedication, and a clear vision. The ideal candidate will serve as the spiritual leader, guiding congregants through worship, teaching, and pastoral care. The Head Pastor will be responsible for shaping the spiritual direction of the church while actively engaging with the community through sermons, counseling, and outreach initiatives. Responsibilities Deliver compelling sermons and teachings that resonate with diverse audiences, fostering spiritual growth and understanding. Provide pastoral care and bereavement support to individuals and families navigating grief, loss, or personal crises. Lead worship services, prayer meetings, and special events that inspire community participation and faith development. Offer Christian counseling and mentorship to congregation members seeking guidance or facing life challenges. Oversee church programs related to hospice care, crisis intervention, and community outreach initiatives. Plan and coordinate church events, seminars, retreats, and educational classes that promote spiritual enrichment. Manage conflict resolution within the congregation through effective communication and conflict management skills. Engage in public speaking engagements to represent the church at community events or interfaith dialogues. Collaborate with church leadership to develop strategic plans for growth and outreach efforts aligned with Christian values. Maintain clear communication through writing newsletters, sermons, and educational materials that inform and motivate the congregation. Experience Proven leadership experience in a pastoral or religious leadership role within a Christian community or organization. Experience in delivering sermons, public speaking, and presentation skills that engage diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to provide bereavement support, hospice care guidance, and crisis intervention with compassion and professionalism. Strong background in Christian counseling, mentoring, event planning, and conflict management within a faith-based setting. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to inspire trust and foster open dialogue. Familiarity with crisis management protocols relevant to pastoral care situations is highly desirable. Prior experience working with hospice care teams or in settings requiring sensitive crisis intervention is a plus. Pay:

$65,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
