Job Description

Meet Oregon City Evangelical Church :
OCEC is a revitalized, growing church just south of Portland, Oregon. In 2025, they hired a new lead pastor and are currently in a season of strategic realignment and reengagement of key ministry areas both inside and outside the church. The church cares deeply about faithful Biblical teaching, missional living, and raising up the next generation of leaders. OCEC currently averages about 200 individuals on Sundays, with a robust children s ministry, and growing combined Middle and High School Sunday night youth group. To see more - visit ocec.net
Position Summary:
The Youth and Worship Pastor/Director serves as a key leader and disciple-maker in the life and culture of OCEC. They will be responsible for cultivating an environment of celebration, reflection and response in worship. This person will also continue to build a culture of discipleship among our middle and high school students, with the goal of students forming a life-long faith in Jesus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute weekly programming for 6th-12th grade students 2. Recruit, equip, and empower adult volunteers 3. Build trusting relationships with students during and outside of regular programs. 4. Along with Pastoral Team - Coordinate, plan, and provide leadership for Sunday Morning services, special events, and church-wide gatherings. 5. Foster a culture of cooperation and excellence within the worship and arts team. 6. Recruit, audition, and equip musicians, vocalists, leaders, A/V and PC operators. 7. Maintain, purchase, and utilize Planning Center, Pro-Presenter, and other resources and equipment. 8. Schedule and lead mid-week rehearsals. 9. Develop and implement a Social Media Strategy for OCEC across platforms. 10. Create content to drive engagement and communicate information. To see a fuller job description - CLICK
