Youth Director (Part-Time)

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Youth Director to further develop, guide and direct the youth ministry program at Clinton United Presbyterian Church, which includes middle school and high school students. The ministry exists to share the biblical truths of God's redemptive love with students in relevant ways. Our vision is to come alongside each student and help them on their journey to become genuine disciples of Christ. Responsibilities Coordinate weekly youth program consisting of worship, teaching, and games. Plan and coordinate regularly scheduled events throughout the year outside of regular programming. Plan and coordinate service opportunities throughout the year. Plan and coordinate mission trips. Assist the Christian Education committee with its programming. Develop and maintain good rapport with the youth and families. Qualifications Must possess a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; have a strong prayer and devotional life. Must have the time to commit to the youth in their environment. Must be a responsible leader with the desire to mentor and disciple youth Must be teachable. Skills and Abilities Prefer some prior experience as a youth worker in a Christian based ministry. Must possess strong interpersonal communication and relational skills. Good planning and organizational skills. Some computer and technology skills. Music abilities are welcome. Accountability The Youth Director is accountable to the Pastor and the Session. Evaluation The Youth Director is reviewed annually by Personnel as part of the regular review process.
