- Full-time Full-Time, In-Person, Salaried First Baptist Church of Corry is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd our congregation and lead us in gospel-centered ministry.
Preaching:
Bible-centered and practical Strong youth ministry with a growing outreach A committed team of deacons and church leaders who support and partner with the pastor A congregation that values fellowship, prayer, and outreach Located in a rural community of ~6,000 with excellent ministry opportunities Primary Responsibilities Preach and teach the Word of God clearly and faithfully Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, counseling, and discipleship Provide leadership and oversight for church ministries, delegating as appropriate Administer ordinances (baptism and Lord's Supper) Partner with Deacons and Official Board in decision-making and leadership. Be present and engaged in the life of the church and the community Maintain regular availability through a combination of office hours, visitation, and community presence This is a full-time position with flexibility in how ministry time is structured. Qualifications A clear testimony of salvation and a life consistent with biblical pastoral qualifications (1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) A willingness to teach and minister in alignment with our Articles of Faith, Statement of Faith, and Church Covenant while maintaining unity in areas where faithful believers may differ. Demonstrated ability to preach, teach, and disciple Heart for pastoral care, relational ministry, and shepherding Formal theological training is preferred but not required A spirit of cooperation, humility, and unity Compensation Total annual support: $45,000- 55,000, depending on experience and qualifications Portions of the salary may be designated as housing allowance Paid vacation (1-3 weeks based on tenure) Insurance and retirement not currently offered (may be reviewed in the future) Compensation reviewed annually by the Official Board We desire a pastor who will become part of the Corry community and be present in the daily life of the church.
