Job Description
Vision The Children's Ministry Director helps children and families find their way back to God by creating a safe, transforming, and missionally formative environment where children can grow in their understanding of Jesus and experience the love of Christ through the church family. This role exists to partner with parents, develop volunteers, and build a ministry culture that reflects the mission and values of 938 Church. Responsibilities Lead and oversee Sunday children's ministry environments. Recruit, schedule, equip, and encourage volunteer team members. Ensure all classrooms and ministry spaces are safe, welcoming, and prepared each week. Coordinate curriculum selection, preparation, and implementation. Communicate regularly with parents regarding ministry updates, events, and next steps. Help create a clear pathway for children and families to connect into the life of 938 Church. Maintain ministry supplies, check-in systems, and classroom organization. Ensure compliance with all child safety and volunteer screening policies. Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry leaders to support church-wide vision and events. Participate in staff meetings and ministry planning rhythms as requested.
