Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the church's ministry and operations
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring sermons during worship services
  • Provide pastoral care and support to congregation members, including counseling, visitations, and bereavement support
  • Mentor and guide individuals in their spiritual growth and development
  • Develop and implement programs to educate and equip the congregation for ministry
  • Lead and facilitate meetings, including church board meetings and committee meetings
  • Manage church staff and volunteers, providing leadership and guidance
  • Serve as a representative of the church in the community, building relationships and fostering partnerships
  • Provide crisis management and conflict resolution when necessary
Skills:
  • Excellent public speaking skills to effectively communicate biblical teachings and inspire the congregation
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles to provide support to individuals and families facing end-of-life situations
  • Strong writing skills to create sermons, articles, and other written materials
  • Ability to mentor individuals in their spiritual journey, providing guidance and support
  • Proficient in bereavement support techniques to assist those experiencing loss and grief
  • Strong leadership skills to lead the church community with vision and direction
  • Ability to educate others on biblical principles and teachings
  • Effective crisis management skills to handle challenging situations with grace and wisdom
  • Conflict management skills to address conflicts within the congregation in a constructive manner
