Job Description
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION 1.
The Associate Pastor of Families and Discipleship will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the church's family and discipleship ministries across all life stages. The Associate Pastor is responsible to the Senior Pastor for the development of mature disciples of Jesus Christ, by strengthening biblical teaching, cultivating spiritual formation, equipping leaders and volunteers, and fostering meaningful integration into the life of the church.QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced in character, conduct, and leadership. 2. Alignment with Round Hill Baptist Church's mission, vision, and Southern Baptist Doctrine, including the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). 3. Meet the qualifications for a pastor/elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. 4. Able to maintain confidence in personal and church related matters, being mindful of the entire church body. 5. Ordained for Ministry with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ministry, theology, or related field. 6. Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Able to work well with other people. 7. Model Christian maturity, integrity, and a heart for missions in both public ministry and private life. 8. Effective Teacher of God's WordRESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Work closely with the Senior Pastor and church leadership to execute the mission and vision of the church by developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive discipleship strategy for adults, families, and age-group ministries. 2. Seek to grow participation and engagement in all educational ministries of the church, helping visitors and members take next steps in their faith and integrate into the church community. 3. Remain flexible and willing to teach in any age group as programs and needs develop. 4. Support and Collaborate with Children's and Youth Ministry volunteers to provide and ensure unity of vision, curriculum, and discipleship philosophy. 5. Assist in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and administration related to discipleship and educational ministries. 6. Evaluate, recommend, and oversee biblically based curriculum and teaching resources for all discipleship ministries. 7. Oversee and Support Men's and Women's ministry discipleship efforts. 8. Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers and teachers across all discipleship ministries. Provide ongoing encouragement and accountability for life group leaders and teachers to remain outwardly focused and engaged in gospel ministry efforts. 9. Assist with pastoral care needs including hospital visits, counseling, weddings, funerals and member support. 10. Assist in special services, ordinances, and seasonal events. 11. Participate in and help lead church-wide events, outreach efforts, and community engagement initiatives such as Easter services, VBS, Fall Festival, etc. 12. Perform other pastoral and ministry duties as assigned.BENEFITS
1. Approximate total compensation package is $50,000-$54,000 based on experience and education. 2. Annual Leave – leave includes vacation, sick leave, and personal time off. Vacation requires prior notice to and be reviewed by the Senior Pastor on an individual basis. i. The associate pastor will receive 17 days paid leave at the beginning of each calendar year. 10 vacation days, 5 sick days, and 2 personal days. ii. Annual leave is not carried over to the following year without approval of the Senior Pastor. 3. The Associate Pastor is granted 1 week for conferences and conventions as approved by the Senior Pastor. 4. Absences – In the event of excessive absences an evaluation with the Senior Pastor and the Personnel Team will be conducted. For questions about the opening or to apply:Call:
