Job Description
- Communicate God's Word through Evangelism by being messengers of the gospel of salvation to both our own community and our world;
- Celebrate God's Presence in Worship by worshiping God through faith within a household of faith;
- Incorporate God's Family into our Fellowship by expressing our love for God and for each other through fellowship one with another;
- Educate God's People through Discipleship by sharing and learning through the study of God's Word, The Holy Bible, standards by which we may live and believe;
- Demonstrate God's Love through Ministry by serving our Lord Jesus Christ by becoming, in common together, servants of our brothers and sisters. Always taking the preceding mission into consideration, the actual tasks of the pastor may be broken down into the following overarching categories: Biblical Teaching (studying and teaching scripture)
- Preparing and preaching messages for worship services
- Leading Bible studies through small interactive groups
- Discipling and teaching individuals how to live a Christian lifestyle based on scripture Pastoral Ministry (ministering to souls)
Counseling:
Spiritual, Personal, Developmental, Interpersonal, Identity, Family, etc.- Visiting, calling, and praying with and over the hospitalized, elderly, and sick
- Officiating baptisms, baby dedications, funerals, weddings, and other special events Church Administration (equipping the saints)
- Consulting and providing materials and tools for the church's leadership
- Investigating various charitable initiatives
- Setting a visionary course for the future of the church Cultural Evangelism (serving and evangelizing the community)
- Building relationships with organizations, schools, and community groups
- Coordinating and disseminating information about the work of supported missionaries
- Creating and maintaining a social media presence ^ Maintaining an ample personal prayer and devotional life to support all the above ^ Qualifications A Wesleyan based theology is preferred.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
