Job Description:
The Children/Student Minister at Stock Creek Baptist Church will lead a Christ-centered ministry focused on helping children and students grow in their faith and become active in the life of the church. This position will oversee ministry for children and students from birth through 12th grade. This person will teach and communicate biblical truth in a way that connects with students, while also building strong relationships with them, their families, and the broader church community. They will plan and lead weekly gatherings, events, and activities that create opportunities for both spiritual growth and genuine connection. Working alongside parents, volunteers, and church leadership, this role helps create a biblically sound environment where spiritual flourishing is possible. The ideal candidate is grounded in their faith, aligned with sound doctrine, and lives out the character expected of church leadership. They should also bring clear communication, energy, and intentionality to the ministry, with a desire to see the next generation follow Christ.
Expectations:
Demonstrates a mature, biblically grounded faith and doctrinal integrity Engages and builds meaningful relationships with families, church members, and the community. Coordinates and leads programs and events that engage students in faith and community. Encourages children to grow in their faith and to build meaningful connections within the church and community. Maintains clear communication with students, families, and leaders while fostering an energetic and enthusiastic environment. Demonstrates character consistent with the qualifications for church leadership in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
Qualifications:
Strong personal faith Doctrinal knowledge with a biblical salvation testimony Experience in children's and/or youth ministry Teaching and communication skills Leadership ability Relational skills (builds trust with families, students, and church members) Organizational skills (able to plan events and manage schedules) Clear background check Comfortable communicating through social media and its influence on students To apply, please submit a resume, testimony, and personal statement of faith
