This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead engaging religious programs, foster a welcoming environment for young learners, and collaborate with families and volunteers to create meaningful faith experiences. The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and a deep commitment to religious education and youth engagement, ensuring that children develop a strong foundation in faith, values, and community service. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic children's ministry programs that align with the organization's religious teachings and mission. Lead weekly religious classes, holiday events, retreats, and special activities designed to teach religious studies and foster spiritual development. Manage volunteer teams by recruiting, training, and mentoring individuals dedicated to children's spiritual growth and safety. Coordinate with pastoral staff to integrate children's ministry initiatives into broader church or organization activities. Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social work principles, Christian counseling, mentoring, and youth engagement in pastoral work. Plan and execute community outreach events that encourage family involvement and strengthen the organization's presence in the local community. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to childcare within religious organization settings while maintaining high standards of communication skills with children, parents, and volunteers. Classes will be on Sundays & Wednesdays; additional days will be needed for special events at times. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in religious or nonprofit faith-based organizations. Strong background in teaching religious studies, youth ministry, or youth programs teaching experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing volunteers or staff within a church or community setting. Knowledge of pastoral theology, Christian counseling, and social work principles relevant to youth mentorship. Excellent communication skills for engaging children, parents, volunteers, and community members effectively. Experience in event planning for religious or youth-focused activities. Ability to work as a clergyperson or in a pastoral role with a deep understanding of religious leadership principles.
