5 days/week (including Sundays), 2 regular days off + PTO accrual beginning on first day Position Overview We are a growing charismatic Christian church seeking a passionate and visionary Children's Director to lead, develop, and pastor our children's ministry. This role goes beyond programming—it is a relational, discipleship-driven position focused on building and shepherding a healthy team of volunteer leaders while partnering closely with parents to nurture the spiritual growth of their children. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and encourager who thrives on developing people, fostering community, and creating environments where children and families encounter God in meaningful ways. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Vision Cast vision and provide spiritual and strategic leadership for all aspects of the children's ministry Develop and implement a long-term plan for growth, discipleship, and family engagement Ensure ministry aligns with the church's overall mission, values, and culture Team Building & Pastoral Care Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteer children's workers Pastor, mentor, and care for volunteers, fostering both spiritual growth and team unity Create a culture of encouragement, accountability, and excellence within the team Family Engagement Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents Serve as a pastoral resource to families, supporting and encouraging them in discipling their children Communicate regularly with parents regarding ministry updates, events, and spiritual development Programming & Curriculum Plan and oversee weekly children's services and environments Select and implement age-appropriate curriculum and teaching materials Ensure safe, engaging, and spiritually impactful experiences for all children Events & Administration Plan and execute children's events (e.g., VBS, camps, special services, family events) Maintain organized systems for scheduling, communication, safety, and volunteer coordination Oversee check-in systems, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe environment Teaching & Development Teach children regularly and equip volunteers to teach effectively Inspire and develop leaders within the ministry Model authentic faith and spiritual leadership Qualifications Spiritual & Personal A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a vibrant, growing faith Alignment with charismatic Christian beliefs and practices A heart for children, families, and discipleship Remain humble and teachable, growing together with the leadership team Skills & Experience Visionary leadership with the ability to execute and follow through Proven ability to build, lead, and develop teams Strong interpersonal and relational skills Excellent organizational and administrative abilities Confidence in selecting curriculum and designing effective ministry programs Effective communicator and engaging teacher Preferred Experience Previous experience in children's ministry leadership or a similar role Experience working with volunteers in a church or nonprofit setting Compensation & Benefits Full-time salaried position (salary commensurate with experience) Two regular days off each week Paid Time Off (PTO) begins accruing on first day of employment How to Apply Please submit your resume, a brief statement of faith, and a cover letter describing your passion for children's ministry and team development to: jon.pignatelli@catchthefire.com This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation, invest in families, and build a thriving, Spirit-led children's ministry from the ground up.Similar jobs in Fort Worth, TX
