Hospice Chaplain (Experienced) RoseWood HealthCare Services and Education Inc Houston, TX Job Details Part-time | PRN 3 hours ago Qualifications Terminal illness counseling Hospice experience End-of-life care Theology Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual care and support to individuals in various settings, including healthcare facilities, hospices, and community organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of Christian counseling principles. This role requires a commitment to being present for those in need, offering bereavement support, crisis intervention, and conflict management. Responsibilities Provide spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients, families, and staff during challenging times. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on bereavement support and crisis management. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop holistic care plans that address spiritual needs. Facilitate worship services, prayer sessions, and memorial services as appropriate. Offer crisis intervention services to individuals facing acute emotional distress. Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and care provided. Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve disputes or tensions within the community. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance counseling skills. Qualifications A degree in theology, divinity, or a related field is preferred. Experience in hospice care or similar environments is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire trust and confidence in others. Proficient in written communication for documentation and reporting purposes. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations while demonstrating empathy and respect. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies. A commitment to providing compassionate care rooted in Christian principles.
