This is an excellent opportunity for a chaplain who values autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful patient impact. Responsibilities Provide spiritual care visits to hospice patients and families based on individual beliefs, values, and preferences Complete spiritual assessments upon admission and as needed Offer prayer, supportive presence, counseling, and emotional support Support patients and families through grief, anticipatory loss, fear, and end-of-life transitions Coordinate with nurses, social workers, aides, and physicians as part of the interdisciplinary team Participate in IDG meetings and contribute to plan of care Provide bereavement support and follow-up when appropriate Respect all faith traditions, cultures, and personal beliefs Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation Requirements Chaplaincy training, ministry experience, or equivalent spiritual care background required Hospice experience strongly preferred Ordination, endorsement, or certification preferred Strong communication and counseling skills Compassionate bedside manner Reliable transportation Ability to serve patients of all faiths or no faith tradition Bilingual is a plus Why Work With Us?
