Job Description
Westbury Baptist Church is a multigenerational, multiethnic family of believers in the heart of Houston-one of the most diverse cities in America. For 62 years, our church has been marked by genuine fellowship, community-driven ministry, deep commitment to the gospel, and a rich history of worship. As we step into a new season of growth, we are seeking a Minister of Worship who will help lead the choir, praise team, ensembles, audio/visual team, and congregation in worship. We re looking for a visionary, relational leader who combines musical ability with a missional heartbeat-someone who loves worshipping the Lord, developing leaders, and creating environments where our congregation and community can encounter God through worship. In this role, you will: Partner with the Senior Pastor and other worship leaders to plan a vibrant, transformative worship experience utilizing all choirs and ensembles Develop and implement strategic ministry plans for development and excellence of all aspects of worship at Westbury to encourage the spiritual growth of the congregation Oversee, equip, and empower staff and volunteers across the worship ministry to effectively involve children, youth, and adults in the music and worship life of the church Use current music technologies to enhance the worship experience Coordinate audio/visual workers and supplies for worship services Help our church engage the richly diverse community that surrounds us If you re passionate about worship and helping shape a church that reflects God s heart for all people, we d love to hear from you.
