Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Pastor to lead our congregation in spiritual growth and community outreach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and deep commitment to serving others.
Qualifications:
Two years prior experience as a pastor preferred. Must be a United States citizen. Will also need to be ordained or agree to begin the process of ordination within six months of being hired, as listed under EFC-ER's guidelines, as outlined in the 2025 Faith and Practice (available at https://www.efcer.org, go to Resources, General Resources, Faith and Practice, 2025 edition).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(1) Be committed to a deep relationship with God. (2) Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to the congregation. (3) Lead Sunday worship services: preaching biblically based sermons, communion, baptism, etc. Oversee the overall direction and growth of the church ministry: Visitation - hospital, congregation, new visitors, etc; Officiate weddings, funerals and baptisms; Attend monthly Administrative Council meetings. The Pastor is encouraged to attend the Evangelical Friends Church - Eastern Region (EFC-ER) Yearly Meeting in Canton, Ohio. Expenses will be covered by the church. Optional attendance to EFC-ER's Pastor's conference, finances permitting. Be familiar with EFC-ER Faith and Practice, paragraphs 340-370, The Mutual Obligations of Pastor and Church as outlined in the 2025 Faith and Practice (available at http://www.efcer.org), go to Resources, General Resources, Faith and Practice bullet, paragraphs 340-370) are accepted as part of this agreement.
