$27.30•$41.41 per hour This is a bargaining union position. Hospice Spiritual Caregiver Are you a compassionate and experienced spiritual care professional ready to join a dedicated team? Home Health & Hospice is looking for aHospice Spiritual Caregiverto provide essential spiritual support to our clients, their families, caregivers, and our interdisciplinary team. In this role, you'll ensure comprehensive spiritual care is available to our families, either directly or by coordinating with the Spiritual Caregiver team. What You'll Need to Succeed We're seeking a spiritual leader with experience and a deep commitment to providing comfort and peace. I.
Education:
+ Bachelor's Degree required. + A minimum ofone unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). + AMaster's degreein Theology, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field is preferred. II.
Experience:
+ Two years of professional experienceworking with clients and families experiencing death and dying. + Comfort and familiarity working with adiverse range of spiritual and religious practices. Key Responsibilities and How You'll Make an Impact As our Hospice Spiritual Caregiver, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional spiritual care. I.
Performance Standards:
+ High Quality Care, providing proficient to expert-level spiritual care that aligns with National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) Values Competency. + Represent Home Health & Hospicepositively within the community. + Ensure timely spiritual care responsesfor new admissions and changes in client condition. + Serve as anintegral member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), fulfilling all associated responsibilities, as needed. + Collaborate effectivelywithin our interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic client care. + Foster relationships with community faith leadersto enhance support for hospice clients and families. + Complete accurate and timely documentationof all visits according to department policies. + Champion quality care, customer satisfaction, and efficient work processes. + Engage in Quality Improvement activitiesas assigned. + Demonstrate a strong understanding of self-care, particularly in managing stress, grief, and loss. + Clearlyarticulate the role of each team memberwithin the interdisciplinary model. + Perform other duties as requested by your supervisor. Working Conditions:
+ Travelwill be required. + Work may occur incommunity-based settings, clients' homes, and outdoors. + May involvenon-business hours. + You may encounter: + Emotionally upset clients, family members, visitors, and staff. + Stress inherent in a demanding profession. + Exposure to blood-borne pathogens. + Various environmental exposures, including inclement weather, animals, firearms, tobacco use, dust, and other client-based activitiespreferences.
