Marketing Teaching Full Job Description Position Responsibilities:
Teach students aspects of careers in residential construction leading to an entry level position in the residential construction industry and develop a personal portfolio that can be used for employment. Assign educational tasks that commensurate with the course of study. Provide learning materials to meet educational needs of students. Select, write and or development curriculum materials. Maintain student records, attendance and prepare progress reports as required. Select and/or develop individualized instructional material to meet specialized needs of students. Assist and attend in staff development, student recognition activities. Track off site volunteer hours and visit each site regularly. Attend late start Fridays, student Recognition and advisory meetings. Prepare students for successful employment in working with people, presenting themselves as professionals and being able to enter into the field of residential construction. Provide opportunities for students to explore and accumulate certification in industry sector area of Residential and Commercial Construction. Assist in the development of career placement opportunities. Stay current with industry standards. Teach, maintain and encourage a safe and clean educational and work environment. Develops and revises course descriptions, training plans, and curriculum to meet the CTE State and common core State standards. Maintain a high level of professional competence through participation in in-services and other professional growth activities. Participates in advisory committees, staff meetings, professional development workshops and community recruitment activities. Orders and distributes instructional materials and maintains appropriate inventories. Have basic computer skills. Maintain High Quality CTE program through the eleven elements of Career and technical Education. Assists in marketing of class by updating, creating and distributing flyers to businesses, agencies, etc.
Qualifications:
Possession of or ability to obtain prior to employment a valid Preliminary or Clear California Career Technical Education Designated Subjects Teaching Credential in Building and Construction Trades. (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov for Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credentials.) Possession of English Learners (EL) authorization or equivalent. (You must apply for annual waiver while completing University credentialing program of study until (CTEL) Certification or (EL) authorization equivalent is obtained through clear credential.) Successful teaching experience, or experience in the field of Residential & Commercial Construction. Evidence of theory and techniques in the field of Residential and Commercial Construction.
Pay:
$47.00 - $75.94 per hour Expected hours: 32.5 per week
