Job Description

V-Tech Solutions is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) responsible for the safety, supervision, and support of individuals in a residential setting. The role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting with daily living and therapeutic activities, responding to crisis situations, and providing CPR and First Aid when needed. Key Responsibilities Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of individuals in a residential program. Implement individualized treatment, habilitation, educational, and behavioral support plans. Assist with daily living skills, personal care, recreation, and community participation. Document progress, incidents, and daily activities per program requirements. Administer medications after required certification (CMT in MD, TME in DC). Prepare meals and maintain a clean, safe environment. Respond to emergencies, crises, and behavioral incidents using approved procedures. Provide transportation to appointments and community activities. Maintain communication with supervisors regarding resident needs and incidents. Participate in training, meetings, and professional development. Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Problem-solving and crisis intervention skills. Ability to build professional relationships with individuals, families, and staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of person-centered care and behavioral support. Medical database management experience. Education & Experience One of the following: High school diploma/GED plus 1 year experience in developmental disabilities or autism support (or related caregiving experience) Associate degree in Human Services or related field Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
Pay Rate:
$20.10 per hour
