Job Description
Description The Vanguard School's Residency Program in Lake Wales, Florida is hiring college students or recent college graduates interested in the teaching profession, or graduates that are student advocates. This is a great opportunity to live rent-free in Florida, gain experience in a boarding school environment, teach or tutor in a small class setting (3-8 students), earn a salary and also have the time/schedule to take graduate classes online.
Responsibilities:
Live on campus and be an integral member of a residential house/dorm and carry out all the duties and responsibilities of house/dorm advisers. Organize, supervise and lead daily activities after school. Opportunity to be involved with two classes each semester if desired or provide tutoring for individuals and small groups. Coach, or assist, an interscholastic team if desired. As members of the residential faculty, Vanguard Teaching/Residential Interns receive the following: A 12-month salaried position- Have 13 weeks off a year for breaks. Housing

- 12am) Provide supervision and activities for boarding students daily Provide tutoring for students Teaching Fellowships if desired (2 classes) Provide supervision, hold students accountable and keep accurate electronic updates daily Coach or contributes to an extracurricular program in the fall, winter and spring Meet, work and live with the other Teaching/Residential Fellows.
