Job Description

House Manager- New Hope Pittsburg is looking for House Manager with the primary responsibility of assisting intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. New Hope Services, located in Pittsburg and Valley Center, Kansas, provides developmentally disabled clients with the services and support they need to empower them to live independently within their community. Medicalodges has developed, in New Hope Service, the expertise and highly trained personnel that are necessary to help people with developmental disabilities move into residential settings and personal homes and away from institutions.
Job Requirements:
Supervise and assist consumer(s) and staff to maintain a clean, safe home environment on all shifts at all times. Assist with transportation of consumers as needed, such as, to work, medical appointments, home visits and approved extra community activities and outings. Responsible for the hiring, training, disciplining, and scheduling of direct support staff for your locations. Responsible for end of month consumer file turn-around. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining accurate and timely documentation required by State and Federal regulations. Must maintain an accurate Emergency "RED" Book in the consumers' home at all times. Responsible to see that all approved necessary information and forms are up-to-date and accurate at all times. Responsible for all staff and consumer monthly training and documentation for emergency preparedness per New Hope policy and procedure, State and Federal regulations. Responsible for regular unscheduled house checks to be done on each shift, including weekends, on a regular on-going basis. Should be no less than monthly and may require weekly depending on staff and house needs. Attend in-service meetings as required. Assisting with residential and day service activities or duties as needed. Perform training functions as assigned and implement training programs as directed. Must have knowledge, understanding and ability to carry out the behavior management Support Plan. Will conduct special behavior management programs as directed. Must know and understand all regulations, such as Article 63, Person Centered Support Planning. Attend interdisciplinary team meetings as directed by Assistant Program Director and/or Program Director. Responsible to find coverage or to cover open shifts due to call-ins or no-shows. House Mangers will not be required to cover open shifts during day service hours. Responsible for working hours as scheduled. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. The position of House Manager requires at least one year of experience in providing services to the intellectually disabled and/or developmentally disabled. #IND1
