About Empower 225 - Anchor House TLP Empower 225 is a nonprofit organization committed to serving youth and young adults transitioning from foster care. Anchor House Transitional Living Program (TLP) provides safe housing, life skills development, supervision, and supportive services to help residents achieve self-sufficiency and long-term stability. We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and dependable Residential Advisors (RAs) who are passionate about mentoring youth and creating a structured, supportive living environment. Position Summary The Residential Advisor is responsible for providing direct supervision, guidance, and support to residents in the Transitional Living Program. RAs ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while promoting accountability, independence, and personal growth. This position requires strong boundaries, consistency, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety of residents at all times
  • Enforce house rules, program policies, and behavioral expectations
  • Monitor daily activities, curfews, chores, and resident responsibilities
  • Support residents in developing independent living skills (budgeting, employment readiness, education, hygiene, etc.)
  • Document daily logs, incident reports, and resident progress notes
  • Conduct room checks and ensure cleanliness and organization standards are maintained
  • Provide transportation as needed for appointments, school, work, or program activities
  • De-escalate conflicts and respond appropriately to behavioral or mental health crises
  • Collaborate with case managers, leadership, and community partners
  • Participate in staff meetings and required trainings Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred)
  • Experience working with youth, foster care, at-risk populations, or residential programs preferred
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage challenging behaviors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
