$1,500 Employee Referral Bonus Available for Current Staff Position Summary The Arc of Opportunity is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)•Relief to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential settings. For over 60 years, The Arc has been committed to enriching lives and empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential. As a Relief DSP, you will work closely with Residential Managers and Direct Support Professionals to deliver high-quality services, promote individual independence, and ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support individuals in achieving personal goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs). Advocate for the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals served. Provide assistance with personal care and hygiene, including: Toileting Transfers Dining assistance Showering and bathing Dressing and grooming Assist individuals in developing daily living and community integration skills. Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive residential environment. Perform household and maintenance duties, including: Cleaning and laundry Meal preparation and cooking Grocery shopping Snow shoveling General groundskeeping and other assigned tasks Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to agency policies and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate The Arc of Opportunity's mission, values, and service standards in all professional interactions.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully pass and maintain CORI requirements throughout employment. First Aid Certification. CPR Certification. MAP Certification. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to kneel, bend, carry items, and sustain periods of walking, standing, and sitting. Ability to physically assist individuals based on their specific needs.
Preferred:
