Through a structured, trauma-informed residential and educational environment, we help young people build stability, resilience, and the skills they need to move forward with confidence. The Role As an Awake Overnight Residential Counselor, you play a critical role in maintaining the safety, stability, and therapeutic environment of our residential program throughout the overnight hours. While youth are sleeping, your presence provides reassurance, structure, and immediate support whenever it is needed. Although much of the campus is quiet overnight, your role is anything but passive. You help ensure youth remain safe, supported, and prepared for the day ahead while contributing important observations that inform ongoing treatment and care. What You'll Do Remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout the entire shift Complete regular safety checks and overnight documentation Support youth during bedtime, overnight, and morning routines Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral, emotional, and medical needs Coach youth using trauma-informed approaches that promote emotional regulation and healthy coping skills Administer medications (after required training and certification) Who You Are Calm, patient, and dependable under pressure Comfortable working independently while remaining part of a collaborative team Able to maintain professionalism during both routine and crisis situations Motivated by meaningful work that helps change young lives
Schedule Full-Time Awake Overnight :
11:00 PM - 9:00 AM Part-Time and Fill-In opportunities may also be available. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Successful EEC background check Experience working with adolescents or in residential, behavioral health, education, or human services preferred, but not required Compensation $19.50-$21.50/hour (based on experience, education, and schedule) +$1.00/hour for bilingual Spanish fluency Up to +$1.00/hour additional for medication administration Holiday pay Benefits Medical & Dental Insurance 401(k) with employer match Flexible Spending Accounts (medical & dependent care) Paid time off & holidays Company-paid Life & Long-Term Disability Insurance Tuition reimbursement Ongoing training and professional development Advancement opportunities Supportive, team-centered work environment Why Stevens?
