Watercrafters has served Montgomery County pool owners since 1982. We are looking for a consultative salesperson who can listen carefully, evaluate renovation needs, take accurate measurements, prepare proposals, and help customers make confident decisions. This is a hands-on role that includes customer meetings, local jobsite visits, estimating, follow-up, and coordination with our Renovation Manager, Renovation Administrator, field team, and subcontractors. The right candidate knows how to earn a homeowner's trust, keep sales opportunities moving, and stay involved after the contract is signed without losing track of selections, changes, promises, or follow-up. What You Will Own
  • Customer consultations: Meet with homeowners, listen to their goals, evaluate renovation needs, explain available options, and set realistic expectations.
  • Site evaluation: Visit residential properties, take accurate measurements and jobsite photos, identify access or condition concerns, and gather the information needed for estimating and planning.
  • Estimating and proposals: Develop accurate scopes and proposals, coordinate pricing and details with the renovation team, and deliver proposals within established company turnaround times.
  • Sales follow-up: Respond promptly to questions, follow up consistently, present recommendations clearly, address objections professionally, and move qualified opportunities toward a decision.
  • Selections and changes: Help customers finalize materials, colors, equipment, and other project selections; document requested changes and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
  • Project support: Remain involved after the sale by supporting scheduling, material coordination, customer updates, change discussions, and occasional jobsite follow-up under the direction of the Renovation Manager.
  • Customer communication: Keep customers informed, follow through on commitments, and help resolve questions, concerns, warranty matters, or project deficiencies promptly and professionally.
  • Project records: Keep customer profiles, measurements, photos, proposal notes, selections, contracts, and change information accurate and current in company systems.
  • Team coordination: Work closely with the Renovation Manager, Renovation Administrator, field team, subcontractors, purchasing, service, retail, and company leadership. What We Need
  • Experience in consultative sales, estimating, or customer-facing project work within residential construction, remodeling, outdoor living, swimming pools, or a related field.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements, organize project details, and learn renovation materials, terminology, sequencing, and installation requirements.
  • Strong written, verbal, and in-person communication with homeowners, field personnel, subcontractors, and office staff.
  • Consistent follow-through and the ability to manage multiple customers, proposals, selections, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong recall and disciplined follow-through; able to retain important customer and project information while keeping notes, records, selections, commitments, and deadlines accurate.
  • Comfort using email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, customer records, and mobile job-photo or documentation software.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to residential job sites throughout the local service area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Especially Valuable
  • Direct swimming-pool renovation experience, including plaster, tile, coping, decking, equipment, or related outdoor construction.
  • Experience preparing and presenting residential project proposals to homeowners.
  • Experience supporting active projects after the sale, including selections, changes, materials, schedules, and customer updates. Schedule Compensation and Benefits
  • Full-time position; weekend availability is required during portions of the busy spring and fall seasons.
