Job Description

KidsPeace, a nationally recognized leader in mental and behavioral health services, is seeking a Treatment Team Supervisor to guide and support our residential treatment team in Ellsworth, Maine. In this key leadership role, you'll play a central part in coordinating unit programming, supervising staff, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the youth in our care.
What You'll Do:
Lead & Support :
Directly supervise, mentor, and coach Direct Care Technicians. Step into leadership in the absence of the Assistant Director of Residential Services.
Ensure Safety :
Maintain a safe and secure environment, acting swiftly to address risks.
Provide Guidance :
Offer individual counseling and facilitate therapeutic groups for youth.
Crisis Response :
Utilize approved crisis intervention techniques, including physical restraints when necessary, for safety and de-escalation.
Collaborate :
Participate in creating and executing individualized treatment plans and daily therapeutic schedules.
Communicate :
Share critical updates with treatment teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Develop Talent :
Train and professionally develop staff to meet evolving responsibilities and challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Services, Child Development, Behavior Management, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of experience working with behaviorally challenged youth At least 1 year in a supervisory role Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills Experience working with families of clients Understanding of mental health diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders
