is a nonprofit recovery program serving pregnant and newly postpartum women impacted by opioid and other substance use disorders. Our program provides a coordinated system of care that includes residential housing, outpatient services, case management, and life skills support, all with the goal of preserving the mother-child bond and supporting long-term recovery. Position Summary The Residential Advisor plays a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for women and their children in Tides' residential program. Residential Advisors provide day-to-day supervision, support, and guidance while modeling healthy boundaries and trauma-informed care. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working in a recovery-oriented setting with women navigating complex life challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day supervision and support to women residing in the program Help maintain a safe, respectful, and structured residential environment Support residents in following program guidelines and daily routines Respond appropriately to crisis situations and escalate concerns to leadership as needed Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the residential and clinical team Model healthy boundaries, professionalism, and recovery-oriented behavior Support transportation, appointments, and daily living needs as assigned Collaborate with case managers, clinical staff, and leadership to support participant success Transport residents and their children to medical appointments, treatment services, and other program-related activities using a company vehicle, as needed
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Post-secondary education, certification, or relevant para-professional experience in trauma-informed care and perinatal substance use Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in basic technology, electronic documentation, and typing Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries in a residential setting Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and emotional maturity Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in recovery, residential, behavioral health, or social services settings Experience working with women, families, or vulnerable populations Knowledge of trauma-informed care and substance use recovery
