Job Description

A nonprofit services organization on Long Island is seeking a CASAC-T to join their team as a Recovery Support Specialist, providing mentorship and day-to-day support within a structured residential recovery setting in Suffolk County.  About the
Opportunity:
Shift:
Day, evening, and overnight shifts
Schedule:
Full-time Hours:
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM to 7:00
AM Setting:
Residential setting
Responsibilities:
Guide residents through daily schedules and therapeutic routines Provide mentorship related to job duties, schoolwork, and personal development Model positive communication and recovery-focused behavior Track attendance and document resident behavior Provide updates to counselors and the clinical team
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in a substance use disorder or residential behavioral health setting High School Diploma / GED Active CASAC-T credential Strong communication and rapport-building skills Ability to model boundaries, structure, and recovery-oriented behaviors
Desired Skills:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree Experience supporting residents in a structured residential program Ability to facilitate activities, team meetings, or shift handoffs Experience assisting with transportation to appointments
