Job Description

Part-Time Residential Advocate Organization:
Domestic Violence Project, Inc.
Location:
Canton, OH Domestic Violence Project, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Residential Advocates . This is an on-call/fill-in position during the week and/or weekends, providing essential support to survivors of domestic violence in our shelter facility. Residential Advocates help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents and their children.
Wage:
$19/hour
Schedule:
This is a part-time, fill-in position with variable hours depending on agency need. Ideal for candidates seeking flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to residents Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the shelter Assist residents with daily needs, referrals, and resources Complete necessary documentation and shift reports Uphold confidentiality and agency protocols at all times Help with facility upkeep and other duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in social services, crisis intervention, or residential support preferred Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and respond calmly in crisis situations Flexibility to work during the day, afternoon, evening, or overnight shifts , including weekends, as needed.
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
