Job Description
The Student Life Associate (SLA) serves as a live-in mentor, leader, and support professional within the SPIRE Academy residential community. This role is responsible for helping create a safe, structured, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes student growth both on and off the field. Student Life Associates play a critical role in mentoring student-athletes, building community, reinforcing accountability, and supporting the overall student experience. Through relationship-building, supervision, and cross-departmental collaboration, SLAs help students develop leadership, life skills, independence, and personal responsibility. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with student-athletes in a high-performance academic and athletic environment. Student Support & Mentorship Build positive relationships with student-athletes. Serve as a mentor and trusted adult presence within the residential community. Support student growth in leadership, responsibility, communication, and life skills. Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful campus culture. Residential & Community Oversight Support daily residential operations and student accountability. Conduct room checks, curfew checks, and student check-ins. Reinforce academy policies and community expectations. Help maintain safe, clean, and organized residential spaces. Student Engagement & Programming Support student activities, community-building events, and campus programming. Encourage student involvement and participation in academy life. Collaborate with Student Life staff on leadership and wellness initiatives. Safety & Communication Respond appropriately to student concerns, incidents, and emergencies. Maintain clear communication with supervisors and academy staff. Document behavioral or safety concerns when necessary. Support student well-being and connect students with appropriate resources. Compensation and Benefits 30,000 with room and board 3 meals a day Paid time off
