Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Residential Services Coordinator (RSC) is a hands-on, in-the-field role built around one core purpose: keeping our homes running right. This person is in and out of homes weekly•reviewing documentation, checking in on staff, catching issues early, and making sure the administrative side of residential care doesn't fall through the cracks. This is a role for someone who thrives on being organized, present, and proactive. You won't be behind a desk. You'll be the person who knows what's actually happening in the homes, builds trust with House Managers and DSPs, and keeps the details sharp so the broader team can move forward with confidence. Reports to the Residential Services Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Weekly Home Visits & On-Site Oversight Conduct regular, scheduled visits to assigned homes to assess quality, safety, and daily operations Be a consistent, trusted presence for House Managers and DSPs•catch issues before they escalate Monitor the day-to-day environment of each home: cleanliness, safety compliance, resident well-being, and staff conduct Identify concerns and communicate findings clearly to the Residential Services Manager Documentation & Administrative Compliance Review MAR (Medication Administration Records) weekly for accuracy, completeness, and any discrepancies Complete weekly attendance reporting for assigned homes Assist in keeping all home documents current•binders, logs, forms, and resident records Write up issues for missing or incomplete documentation and follow through until resolved Conduct Brittco audits; coach staff on documentation standards and expectations Staff Oversight & Support Provide day-to-day oversight of DSPs and Leads within assigned homes Monitor staff attendance patterns and complete write-ups as needed Assist with training coordination and help maintain accurate training records Support onboarding of new staff and reinforce agency standards in the homes Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance Ensure each home meets DODD health and safety standards Participate in OhioISP meetings and support documentation of individual plans in Brittco Assist with MUI/UI incident tracking and follow-up documentation under direction of the
RSM ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the core role above, the RSC has two after-hours responsibilities that are part of the position: Agent on Call (AOC) Rotation Participates in a rotating AOC schedule (~1 week on / 3 weeks off). During AOC weeks, the main office line forwards to your cell phone after hours. You serve as the point of contact for staff questions, minor incidents, and time-sensitive situations that arise outside of business hours. Most calls are resolved by phone and actual time footprint should be 2 hours or less per week on this responsibility. DSP of Last Resort Holds a standing designation to provide on-site, direct DSP coverage in rare situations where standard staffing channels have been exhausted. This is a last-resort role•two layers of coverage are contacted before reaching this person•so activations should be infrequent, however long blocks of availability are essential and required week to week. When called, you go in and provide hands-on support until coverage is restored.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD/DD) Strong working knowledge of documentation standards in a residential DD setting Ability to supervise, coach, and hold staff accountable in a direct, professional manner Highly organized•you manage multiple homes, multiple tasks, and nothing slips Reliable transportation; this role requires regular travel to assigned homes in Richland County Comfortable with after-hours on-call duties as described above
Preferred:
Familiarity with Ohio DODD waiver services and
ISP/OISP
processes Experience with Brittco or similar electronic documentation platforms Medication administration certification (training available for qualified candidates) Prior supervisory or coordinator-level experience in a residential or human services setting
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Salary:
$44,000•49,000 per year (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full-time; primarily weekday daytime hours with regular field visits
On-Call:
AOC rotation (~1 week on / 3 weeks off) plus DSP of Last Resort designation year-round
Location:
Richland County, Ohio•regular travel to assigned homes required
