Pay:
$17.02 per hour Job description:
Family Residential Assistant:
1:00pm to 7:00pm and 6:45pm to 11:00pm shifts
Duties:
  • Provide assistance and support to residents in the family homeless shelter
  • Provide informal support and work with Residential Specialist in provision of shelter routine (oversight of meals, chores, play/homework time, educational groups, bedtime);
  • Distribution of needed supplies or vouchers for laundry, clothing, transportation;
  • Ensure resident rights are respected and upheld at all times
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and organizing shelter
  • Help oversee the volunteers on duty and give them tasks to do
Requirements:
  • Experience in providing care for individuals in an assisted living or similar setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
