Job Description

Home Modifications Accessibility Designer Make Homes Safer. Improve Lives. Build Accessibility Solutions That Matter. We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and solutions-driven Accessibility Designer to join our Accessible Home Modifications team. In this role, you will combine expertise in residential construction, accessibility design, and client advocacy to help individuals with disabilities remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes. You will assess clients' functional abilities, evaluate residential environments, develop accessibility recommendations, and guide projects from assessment through proposal development and contract execution. Key Responsibilities Accessibility Assessments & Design Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments of individuals and their living environments. Evaluate clients' mobility, physical function, and anticipated future accessibility needs. Measure and document residential and commercial living spaces for potential modifications. Create detailed hand-drawn dimensional sketches and site assessments. Evaluate structures for ADA compliance, building code requirements, and general safety concerns. Identify accessibility solutions that maximize safety, independence, and quality of life. Prepare professional written assessments and recommendations for grant agencies, Medicaid waiver programs, insurance providers, and other funding sources.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, residential remodeling, accessibility design, occupational therapy support, rehabilitation services, or a related field. Knowledge of residential construction practices and building systems. Understanding of ADA requirements, accessibility standards, and building codes. Strong measurement, documentation, and assessment skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client homes and project sites.
Hours:
Monday-Friday between 8am-4:30pm
Pay:
$50K-$55K; comes with company vehicle for buisness purposes only
