Full Job Description Position:
Architectural Assistant needed for a construction company. (Site Visits & Field Surveys)
Location:
San Jose, CA (Hybrid- Requiring both field and office work). Will typically perform up to 3 residential site visits per day.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00
PM Duties:
(Field) 1. Visit residential properties throughout the Bay Area. 2. Perform accurate field measurements of existing homes, garages, and structures. 3. Conduct comprehensive site surveys and document existing conditions. 4. Photograph all relevant property conditions for design and permitting. (Office) 1. Prepare existing condition floor plans. 2. Assist in drafting architectural plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. 3. Create and revise floor plans, elevations, site plans, and construction details. 4. Assistant in preparing permit-ready construction documents.
Requirements:
1. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. 2. Excellent communication and customer service skills. 3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 4. Familiarity with CA residential building codes. 5. Valid CA driver's license. Reliable personal vehicle. 6. Experience creating permit-ready residential plans. 7. Understanding of ADU regulations and permitting processes.
Compensation:
$6,000 per month plus mileage reimbursement.
