Today Job Description Southeastern Directions for Life is one of 11 Community Mental Health Centers in South Dakota dedicated to providing quality professional services to keep our individuals, families, schools, workplaces, and communities emotionally strong and healthy. Our mission is "empowering people to discover their directions for life in a changing world." We serve children, adults, and families in the Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook, and Turner Counties.
JOB SUMMARY
This position provides direct care, supervision, and support to individuals receiving services in a residential setting. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living skills, promoting recovery and independence, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and supporting individualized treatment goals. This position works collaboratively with clinical staff to encourage stability, personal growth, and successful community integration. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent); associates or bachelors degree preferred in one of the social sciences or human services field. One year's experience providing services to individuals with severe mental illness (SMI) including those with co-occurring substance use disorders is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and car insurance. Equal opportunity employer. Job Requirements Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Previous psychiatric or supported living experience beneficial but not required. Must be able to pass medication training and properly monitor administration of medications. Must also be able to pass a background check and health screening. Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required.
