Job Overview
HIRING FOR
3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant, a vital role committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or home and community care settings. As a Resident Assistant, you will provide compassionate support, assist with daily activities, and foster a safe, engaging environment for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with disabilities. This rewarding position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives through attentive caregiving and personalized support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
COOKING MEALS FOR RESIDENTS
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, employing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
WORKERS COOK MEALS AND HELP
with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in resident living areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to foster a positive community atmosphere Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, incident reports, and resident progress in compliance with healthcare standards Support residents' participation in community outings or transportation needs if required, including driving responsibilities when applicable Uphold safety protocols by practicing first aid procedures and responding promptly to emergencies Experience Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or retirement homes is highly preferred Demonstrated caregiving experience working with seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in group home settings Knowledge of dementia care techniques, Alzheimer's care strategies, and memory care best practices Familiarity with EMR systems for documenting resident information accurately Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience providing personal care in home & community care environments or assisted living facilities is advantageous Ability to handle caregiving tasks such as Hoyer lifts, meal preparation, cleaning, and behavioral support effectively Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required by the role This position is an essential part of our team dedicated to delivering compassionate, respectful care that empowers residents to thrive.
