This position requires professionalism, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of residents at all times. Build positive, professional relationships with youth. Implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies. Facilitate daily routines, recreational activities, and life skills. Transport residents to appointments, school, and community activities. Complete accurate documentation, shift notes, and incident reports. Administer medications (training provided if applicable). Maintain communication with supervisors regarding resident progress. Assist residents with daily living skills, chores, hygiene, and independent living development. Respond appropriately during behavioral or crisis situations using de-escalation techniques. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all agency policies and state regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Experience working with youth, behavioral health, foster care, residential care, or mental health preferred. Valid Virginia Driver's License with a good driving record. Must pass a criminal background check, CPS check, drug screening, and TB screening. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
