Job Description

Shifts Available:
Short shifts (rotating weekends) 7:00am - 10:00am or 5:00pm - 8:00pm Westview Meadows is seeking a Resident Services Assistant to provide care to residents living in our Residential Care Neighborhood. This position entails providing support to residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition and physical health. The ideal candidate for this position will exemplify The Best Friends™ approach to care by utilizing the essential elements of friendship (respect, empathy, support, trust, and humor) to care for residents and adapt to their remaining strengths and abilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including: toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and transport. Taking and documenting vital signs. Light housekeeping, including: making resident beds, removing trash from resident apartments, folding resident laundry, keeping common areas clean and tidy, etc. Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention under the instruction of the nurse. Encourage residents to attend and participate in a variety of activities. Observes for and informs RN promptly about any changes in resident health/condition, behavior or needs. Practices patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with residents. Focuses on residents' abilities and provides social/emotional support and encourages the resident to be as independent as possible.
Qualifications:
Experience interacting with elderly. Willingness to learn and complete on-the-job training and utilize The Best Friends™ approach to care. A desire and commitment to teamwork and effective communication. Must pass appropriate background checks and be fully vaccinated against
COVID-19.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour (depending on experience and shift)
