Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant, a vital role committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care settings. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide compassionate support, assist with daily activities, and foster a safe, engaging environment for individuals with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help residents maintain independence and dignity while ensuring their well-being is prioritized every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing personalized care plans and engaging them in meaningful activities Provide companionship and social support to promote mental health and emotional well-being Document resident interactions, health updates, and incident reports using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure accurate communication among care teams Skills Proven experience in long-term care, home & community care, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personalized support Excellent communication skills to engage residents empathetically and collaborate with healthcare professionals This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while developing your caregiving skills.
