In this vital role, you will provide personalized support, assist with daily activities, and foster a warm, safe environment for individuals in long-term care settings. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a vibrant community where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for every day. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and well-being Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining detailed documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents with assisted living needs by helping with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment in personal care homes or group homes Engage residents through social activities, companionship, and emotional support to promote mental health and social interaction Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Skills Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively to emergencies Skilled in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care with compassion and professionalism Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information and vital signs Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in home or community care environments Capable of driving safely when required to support resident outings or appointments Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Join us in creating a nurturing environment where residents feel empowered and supported.
