Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in a caring and supportive environment. This dynamic position involves providing personalized assistance, fostering a warm community atmosphere, and ensuring residents' safety and well-being. You will be the compassionate support system that helps residents maintain independence while receiving the care they need. Your energy, empathy, and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference every day! Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers Engage residents through social activities, group outings, and personalized support to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment Follow emergency procedures by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and communicating effectively with healthcare providers Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly valued Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support strategies Ability to perform standard patient lifting practices safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with residents, families, and healthcare teams Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is a plus Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling to assist residents with mobility needs
Pay:
$11.00 - $18.00 per hour
