Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Peer Recovery Coach to join our dynamic peer recovery team. In this vital role, you will serve as a trusted mentor and advocate, empowering individuals on their recovery journey from substance use and mental health challenges. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive environment that values peer support advocacy, cultural competence, and client-centered care. Must have CPFS through COPA and have liability insurance. Provide a minimum of two in house groups per week for two female houses in Colorado Springs. Pay is fee for service, 10 per person for every person in your group up to two hours for each group. Duties Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions Share personal recovery experiences to motivate clients and build trusting relationships Conduct crisis management and crisis intervention when clients are experiencing acute distress or behavioral health emergencies Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients' engagement in treatment plans and harm reduction strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document progress, treatment goals, and service delivery Support clients in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and behavioral health goals Work with culturally diverse communities, respecting individual backgrounds, beliefs, and preferences while maintaining patient confidentiality Experience Previous experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions in a peer support capacity Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, addiction counseling, harm reduction, and social work practices Experience working with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds using culturally competent approaches Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques, trauma-informed care, and sharing personal recovery stories in a professional setting Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client tracking Commitment to maintaining confidentiality while advocating for client needs in a respectful manner Join us as a Female Peer Recovery Coach to empower others through shared experience, foster hope for lasting recovery, and contribute to building healthier communities.
